Emery To Start £180m Trio This Weekend In North London Derby

A lot is on the cards this Sunday [1 September 2019] as the Emirates Stadium hosts a bitter rivalry between the Gunners & Spurs with more than three league points at stake.

Even though the 2019/20 season just began a few weeks ago, pride is still on the line for these two sides with their rivalry spanning years now; if not decades.

Emery knows this & as such, if the rumor is to be believed, he will aim to be on the offensive from the onset by fielding Arsenal’s £180m trio of Pepe, Aubameyang & Lacazette.

The Arsenal boss is yet to make a late call on whether to start them with Lacazette being the fresher of the two.

Speaking on Thursday, Emery said: ‘They can start together and they can play also during the match as a three. It depends how we decide our game-plan.

‘I am very optimistic for that situation. But be calm. For example, with Lacazette, he had a problem with his ankle. He’s getting better and feeling better. It’s very positive.

‘With Pepe, he came here later than the others but he is getting and feeling better in each match. Aubameyang is very important for us.’

How the £180m spread out on signing them is as follows:

Pepe – club record fee of £72 million

Aubameyang – £56 million

Lacazetter – £52 million
